Stewart James was a prolific correspondent. He exchanged thousands of letters with magicians in various parts of the world. One of his closest confidants was the English magician, Francis Haxton. Fortunately James filed the correspondence he received as well as carbon copies of the missives he sent. This correspondence is now housed in the David Ben Collection.
As part of this exhibition, thanks to David Ben and William Kalush of The Conjuring Arts Research Centre, you have the opportunity to peruse fifty years of this Haxton-James correspondence.
